Tour of the Woods is back for 2026
Sunday 19th July - Knightwood Leisure Centre
Enjoy the beautiful ancient woodlands of Valley Park and Knightwood with this unique 10 km mixed terrain event open to all runners!
Broken up into 5 stages, ranging from 500 metres to 3 km, you get a rest between each stage that does not contribute to your overall time plus the chance to recharge before setting off again. There will be prizes for the best overall running times.

Rules

Runners must be aged 18 or over on the day of the event

Runners may not participate with a dog. Dogs and well-behaved owners welcome at race HQ!

The Event will be licensed by the Trail Running Association (license number TBC) and run under UKA Rules
-
In particular, headphones may NOT be worn during the event (bone-conducting headphones are permitted but the participant must be able to hear mashal instructions and be aware of the general public and other hazards)

We are proud of our local woodlands. Anyone found to be dropping litter or damaging the woodlands in any other way will be disqualified.
