The Swifts goal is to provide a variety of weekly guided sessions that will support members progression and development as runners. We offer a supportive and social club culture underpinned by a club constitution and welcome runners of all abilities.
The physical and mental benefits of running with others are well documented and something the Swifts wholly subscribe to.
We are affiliated with England Athletics with paid members able to enjoy a range of benefits, including discounted race entry.
The Swifts support the local running community and our local community beyond sport.

When we run
Speed or strength
These sessions aim to develop speed or strength in running. They may involve hill repeats, intervals or sprint sets. We also have a monthly strength and conditioning session.
Club social run
This is our social run. Distances will generally vary between 10km and 10 miles. We'll finish at a pub for a thoroughly earnt (swift) liquid refreshment.
Start the weekend right with the 'Friday 5'. An easy 5km run starting at 7:30 am.
These runs will often take us a little further afield on Sunday morning. Generally these will be between 10km and a half marathon in distance and involve other local running groups alongside the Swifts.
Details of all runs are available on our Facebook & Strava groups
